Ball State Tops the Warriors

By Zak Hewitt

The Ball State Cardinals snatched the snitch to secure their win over the Warriors, rebounding from an earlier loss to the Los Angeles Gambits.

The game began with a notable switch in the lineup as Ball State’s Tyler Walker moved from quaffle carrier to bludger carrier. As a beater, he quickly changed the defense of Ball State making the game more pass-oriented rather than driving goals.

The first yellow card came from Erin Moreno tackling an opposing beater from behind. Unfortunately, this action negated a goal for Ball State. Shortly after another goal from Ball State, another beater drew a yellow card for the Cardinals. However, the Cardinals kept their heads and were able to trade goals with the Warriors making the score 90-90. Right before seekers were released Amanda Dallas from the Warriors received a yellow card for deceptive immunity and Sean Beloff joined her in the box after receiving a yellow card.

The snitch ran on pitch and after a few attempts scrapping with the seekers, Jason Bowling from Ball State had the tail up in the air. Ball State won 120*-90.

Sean Beloff led the Warriors with three goals.

With the win Ball State improves to 2-1, while the Warriors 1-2
